(CBS News) Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, has begun stepping out solo for royal events, and now she's set to give her first public speech.
The former Kate Middleton will speak at the opening of The Treehouse, a hospice that services Suffolk and Essex, on March 19. The hospice is run by East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), one of the organizations the duchess supports as patron.
In addition to providing a speech before planting a tree on the grounds, Kate will tour the facilities and meet the children and their families who receive care and support from the hospice service, as well as staff and supporters. Courtesy CBS News.READ Full Post From CBS
