William and Kate Attend Gala for Child Bereavement Charity
The royal couple were guests of honour at a fundraising gala evening at St James's Palace on Thursday, which raised a whooping £675,000 for the Child Bereavement Charity.

Prince Harry has arrived to continue his helicopter training.
Prince Charles' younger son will complete a two-month Apache helicopter flying course.
Harry will be one of 20 British Army students who will divide their time between that base and Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in southern Arizona.
The 27-year-old – known as Captain Wales while he is in training – will "be treated like any other British pilot", says the commanding officer of El Centro.

Kate Middleton: The Queen of Arts -- Duchess of Cambridge to Support British Art Institutions
Kate Middleton will be the "queen of the arts." The Duchess of Cambridge is about to offer support to many British art institutions, such as the Tate, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery and the V & A, offering as "ambassador." Already in recent months, as she tells the Daily Telegraph, the wife of Prince William has met with various directors and curators of museums and public galleries.

"The Duchess has a deep interest in art and has very strong links with the artistic world and wants to give its support to the progress of this sector," said a court official. "This is meeting with people from all levels in art institutions to learn more about how an art gallery."
Kate Middleton certainly does not lack the curriculum. The Duchess has a particular interest in photography, she graduated with a thesis on the photographic work of Lewis Carroll (author of "Alice in Wonderland"), in 2001 he studied for three months Renaissance art at the British Institute of Florence and then subscribe to the St Andrew's. Finally, in 2007 he curated an exhibition of the photographer Alistair Morrison.

Norway: King Opens Parliament

October 3, 2011-- His Majesty King Harald V opened the 156th Parliament session Monday. With him is Queen Sonja, and his son and heir, Crown Prince Haakon.
In the first few lines of his speech, the king discussed the July attacks in Oslo and Utøya by a radical right-winger. This was followed by the actions the Parliament will do towards the attacks. From there, King Harald discussed the Parliament’s plans for the new political year, underscoring the focus on employment, with the goal of having Norway with the lowest unemployment rate in Europe.
Other issues the king discussed include of making Norway a major player in the fight against climate change, as well as keeping the country as one of the best welfare societies. The king ended his speech by emphasizing the government’s action in lawmaking and presenting reports on the state of Norway.

In the afternoon, he met former Singapore President Sellapan Ramanathan at the Four Seasons Hotel. Later, he received received by The President of the Republic of Singapore at the Istana and the Emeritus Senior Minister at the Istana. He also met the Group President of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation at Capital Tower.

Pippa Attends Boxer Gala in Stunning Red
The guest list read like a Who’s Who of the Royal inner circle. Among the 850 people attending was another of William’s ex-girlfriends, Olivia Hunt, as well as actress Isabella Calthorpe, who was once linked romantically to the Prince but last night accompanied Sir Richard Branson’s son Sam and his sister Holly.
Tables for the ball, organised by jewellers Boodles, cost £1,950 each. Money raised last night was going to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which grants wishes for seriously ill youngsters, and the Lt Dougie Dalzell MC Memorial Trust, which was set up in memory of a British soldier killed in Afghanistan.
